In the Training, Obedience, Rally, Dog Show for Kids, & Manners Ring at 9:45 watch dogs heel, jump, retrieve and recall with joy and precision! The
Obedience Demonstration will showcase HOTC dog/handler teams performing exercises ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Learn how the skills shown develop from the most basic obedience commands, and just how useful these exercises can be.
Public Participation
At 9:00 in the
Drop in Anytime Training Q & A and Problem Solving sessions in the Training, Obedience, Rally, Dog Show for Kids, & Manners Ring you can get answers from an expert trainer on your dog's specific problems, including jumping on people, pulling on the leash, nipping, barking, house-training issues, counter-surfing, etc. Most problems can be corrected with consistency, good communication, and some common sense. Come learn how!
At 12:30 bring your dog and your questions to the
Let's Train Manners session in the Training, Obedience, Rally, Dog Show for Kids, & Manners Ring, get expert help for your problems, and learn training techinques that are taught in HOTC's Manners 101 classes.
At 1:00 in the Freestyle Ring you can try a new sport and learn about
K9 Scent Work in the
Treat Hide and Seek session. Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and a natural desire to hunt.
K9 Scent Work will give your dog the opportunity to hunt treats or toys. It's a great way for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy.
